On Friday the 23rd of November a special meeting of the COIC (Chamber of International Commerce) which is a branch of the CCPIT (China Council For The Promotion Of International Trade) in Ningbo was held and organized by Expert Committee of COIC. The lecture was provided by the accounting and law company Dezan Shira & Associates which have currently 8 offices in China and soon also will be operating one in Ningbo.

The event was also relayed to the foreign community by , Ningbo Expat, HelloNingbo and the Beilun BBQ Assoc.

The meeting started at 4pm in the new Fortune Plaza building (No 77, Heyi road) located opposite Tianyi Square and next to Ningbo World Hotel.

The meeting had been prepared by the Expert committee of COIC and about 50 Expatriates and representatives from foreign invested companies had attended the meeting. At the end, Mr. Eckhard Goessl presented to Mr. Patrick Donovan (HelloNingbo) his official COIC Membership card.

Mr. Samy Snoussi who also prepared the meeting with Mrs. Barbara Li Bing, both from Altica Corp have received the thanks of the attendants. Following the meeting, participants joined a buffet dinner held in the Ningbo World Hotel which was also joint by Mr Yang Zhen Min, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT.

The next lecture is scheduled for middle of January 2008 and is about personal and corporate income Tax in China and related issues of double taxation.
